Drum Major Dennis George (Topper) Brown enlisted into the Green Howards at Richmond on 15 Jul 1946.
After completing his basic training he reported to the Battalion and started his military career in India on 16 Oct 1946.
He then saw service spanning 23 years, serving in the Middle East, UK, Far East, BAOR, Tripoli and Singapore.
He was discharged from the Green Howards, Kings Division on 1 Feb 1969.
